Offer: Postdoctoral Researcher – Cancer Immunotherapy

Experimental and Translational Immunology group (DGO lab, www.dgo.ug.edu.pl) seeks to recruit a talented and passionate individual to work in the fields of cancer  immunology in the project carried out in collaboration with the Malopolska Centre for Biotechnology and University of Oxford.

Project description:
Lifestyle changes and medical progress in treating infections result in aging populations and growing burden of cancer. Currently, there is a lot of focus on designing novel treatment approaches to replace classical chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Especially, cancer immunotherapy strategies harnessing patient immune responses and stimulating T cells for cancer cell killing are being investigated. The project supported by the Foundation for Polish Science aims at generating a novel tool for cancer immunotherapy (cancer vaccine) which would promote efficient elimination of cancer cells by those lymphocytes and is a collaborative research study with the nanoengineering experts from the MCB.
