Seyit Kale received his B.S. in Physics from Ihsan Doğramacı Bilkent University (2006), and his Ph.D. in Biophysics and Structural Biology from Brandeis University (2012). He worked as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Chicago, and at the National Center for Biotechnology Information of the U.S. National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. By late 2019, Dr. Kale established his independent laboratory in Computational Biophysics at the Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (IBG), and received the 2022 European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) Installation Grant. Since mid-2023, he works jointly at IBG and as an assistant professor of Biophysics at the Faculty of Medicine of the Izmir Katip Celebi University. Dr. Kale’s research interests include the structure, dynamics and physics of chromatin, molecular dynamics assisted rational antibody design, and clinical outcome prediction of rare and undiagnosed diseases.
